Dr Michele McGrath

An independent home for a GP working across two clinical settings.

I set the visual direction, designed the layout and user experience, and built Dr McGrath’s professional website in Elementor: one place that brings her work in general practice and skin medicine together, separate from either clinic, and points patients to the right setting for their care.

One practitioner, two settings

Her own presence, with a clear route to the right clinic.

Dr McGrath practises general medicine at Illawarra Family Medical Centre, and skin cancer medicine and primary-care dermatology at Advantage Skin Clinic. Patients may know her from either. The site gives her a professional identity that belongs to neither clinic, and presents the two settings side by side, in parallel, so neither reads as secondary.

A quiet, serif identity

Calm, factual and personal, so the focus stays on the practitioner.

With full creative freedom, I chose an all-serif pairing, a mostly white layout and a single warm band, with a cut-out portrait carrying the homepage. Credentials are stated plainly, there are no testimonials, and the content was presented with health-practitioner advertising guidelines in mind.

I was responsible for the visual direction, the page layouts and the UX/UI (how her background, the two settings and booking are presented), and implemented the site myself in WordPress using the Elementor visual builder: Home, About and Contact. It’s built with Elementor’s own tools rather than custom code, which keeps it straightforward to update.
